Looking Back on 2020

2020 was a tumultuous year, to say the least. But it was still a solid second year for the team at Pediatric Dentistry of Winter Park. Dr. Allie Miller, your Winter Park, FL dentist, takes a look back at the year 2020!pediatric dentist in winter park, florida

A Year of Appreciation

If we had to sum up the year in one word, it’s “appreciation”. 2020 was extra difficult for all of us, from patients to staff and everyone in between. Even though we were closed down for two months because of the pandemic, we’ve remained boosted and appreciated by our community. We’re proud to be in such a wonderful community that’s able to rely on one another.

To our patients, thank you for staying with us throughout the COVID-19 crisis and general craziness of 2020. To the amazing staff, thank you for following the extra precautions that the virus has brought upon us with smiles on your faces. We’re happy to have the best patients and staff so we can work through this together!

Team Bonding

Even through the pandemic, we found ways to grow stronger together as a team. Suiting up in the new PPE gear turned into a bonding experienced we all shared. Even with the mask requirements, we were able to still do fun activities like goat yoga and dressing up for Halloween and National Tooth Fairy Day, making our jobs more fun for us and our patients!

The COVID-19 Vaccine

We’re proud to announce that Dr. Miller has received both doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine! Thanks to the Advent Health hospital system, Dr. Miller is set to continue to give patients the care they need, while staying as safe as possible. pediatric dentist in winter park, florida

Tooth-N-Pooch Days

Tooth-N-Pooch day has become something we’re known for. Dr. Miller and the staff noticed that certain patients were having more anxiety when they were coming in for their checkups. The bright lights and strange sounds of the cleaning equipment can be triggers for dental fear in children. Tooth-N-Pooch events became our solution.

Even with pandemic restrictions, we managed to pull off another successful Tooth-N-Pooch event in October last year. And we plan on making sure our patients get what they need again! We’ll be offering another Tooth-N-Pooch day in the spring of this year! As with our last Tooth-N-Pooch event, all pandemic regulations will be followed to ensure everyone stays safe.
