Teeth Whitening An Overview
Teeth whitening may be appropriate for your child or teen if there is discoloration associated with trauma, medications prescribed or genetics. Dr. Miller works with patients to address tooth color and cosmetic concerns on an individual basis to meet the needs of the patient and support their long-term oral health and development.
Dr. Miller takes a conservative approach to teeth whitening to protect the structure of your child’s developing teeth and support their long-term dental health. She will recommend products and treatment based on the age and overall oral health condition of the patient. The tooth pulps in a growing smile are larger than those in a fully-developed adult tooth, making them more prone to lasting sensitivity or other side effects of a professional teeth whitening treatment performed in a dental office.
